December 2010, Viva Tysons |
Wentworth, Inc. transformed a 3-bedroom, 2-1/2 bath brick rambler in Mclean, VA into a stunning neo-craftsman style contemporary with outbuildings. The owners, who, according to Bruce Wentworth, AIA, "were looking for a wholesale makeover of the entire property - one with clearly differentiated architecture," got exactly what they desired - and then some. Their property is now a small-scale estate that is evidence of the importance of a good marriage between form and function. For more on this project, check out John Byrd's story, "Neo-Craftsman Style Architecture Transforms McLean Rambler Into Distinctive, Small-Scale Estate," in the December 2010 issue of
Viva Tysons.
